There are a lot of amazing things going on in the greater Denver area this weekend and we wanted to pass along a few suggestions of the dance/design variety if you haven't already figured out what you are doing...
First up is Fancy Tiger Clothing's own Matthew Brown a.k.a. DJ Fancy Tiger, who will be spinning dance beats with Tyler Snow and Patrick Collins this evening, Friday April 8th at Lost Lake starting around 9pm.
Next up is the Beauty Bar with their Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted animation shorts. You can check out this two hour showing of dark comedy animated shorts Friday April 8th from 8pm-10pm and Saturday April 9th from 8pm-10pm. This event is free for everyone age 21 and up.
Also be sure to stick around Beauty Bar Saturday April 9th for Double Shadow starting at 10pm until close. Double Shadow is a monthly darkwave dance party hosted by local creatives James Yardley and James Cromwell Holden. Get your dance on!
Speaking of getting your dance on, if you haven't checked out Denver's hottest Electro / Pop / Synth / Hop / Cosmic / Wave / Tronic dance party, Neon Knights don't miss it. Local DJ Shannon von Kelly hosts this monthly dance night at the Meadowlark and this month it falls on Friday April 8th at 9pm until close.
If you want to check out what's going on with the Denver design scene stop by the opening of the new I Heart Denver Pop-Up Store Saturday April 9th from 6pm-9pm at 500 16th Street, located on the 2nd level of the Pavilions. This is another creative endeavor for local artist and 15min creator Samuel Schimek that creates a space for local designers to market their goods to the public. 70% off all sales goes back to the designer so get out and support our local designers.
For those of you in the Boulder area don't miss out on the Firefly Handmade Market as part of the Makerie at the Chautauqua Community House. This handmade market will be happening Saturday April 9th from 7pm-10pm and Sunday April 10th from 10am-3pm. Check out the work of 60 plus indie crafters.
While you're at it Fancy Tiger Crafts will be opening a one-weekend only pop-up store in cottage 302 at Chautauqua in conjunction with the Makerie retreat. The store will be open to the public so you can shop their curated selection of yarns, kits, books, fabrics and fiber. The Fancy Tiger Crafts Pop-Up Store will be open Friday, April 8th, 11am - 6pm, Saturday, April 9th, 11am - 4pm and 7 - 10pm and Sunday, April 10th, 10am - 3pm.

Fancy Focus: Saturday!
There are so many wonderful events happening this weekend and we just wanted to hi-light a few that we recommend checking out.
First off the talented Debbie Clapper will have her work on view at Crema Coffee House at 2862 Larimer Street through December 10th with the opening reception taking place this Saturday November 13th from 5pm-9pm. Not only does Debbie create beautiful works of art but all of the proceeds of her sales will go towards Meagan Patrick's cancer treatment. So why not pick up a new work of art while donating to an excellent cause...

Double Shadow DJ Night this Saturday! Beauty Bar 10-2am
I'll be guest deejaying Double Shadow this Saturday from 10-2am. It's a unique night focusing on entire songs (not the trendy mash-up variety) and a love for the vinyl record. Think Morrissey wielding The Knife as he rides a Caribou and watching his Twin Shadow. Click here to read about it.
